WIC is a federally funded food assistance program that helps pregnant women, infants and children make healthy food choices.
The goal of WIC is to improve the opportunity for babies and small children to have a healthy start in life.

 Who Does WIC Serve?

 

If you meet low-income guidelines, are at risk for poor nutrition and fall into one of the categories listed below, you can apply for WIC:

  • Pregnant women
  • Breastfeeding mothers
  • Non-breastfeeding mothers 
  • Infants. WIC serves 45% of all infants born in the United States
  • Children up to their 5th birthday.
